Firebreak #1

Firebreak, a teenage superhero who gets all his pyrokinetic abilities from a strange crystal embedded in his wrist, has protected Starboard City for over a year now, constantly facing off against many, many villains who all want to steal his crystal and use it for their own destructive means. No matter the odds, however, he always just barely wins every fight and escapes every trap by incredible strokes of luck and skill.

Almost... too incredible, if you ask Professor Shard.

Shard, Firebreak's "third-most arch-nemesis" and the one who controls the vast majority of the meteorite shards that act as his Kryptonite, has always thought that something wasn't quite right with the way that certain encounters have gone down. Some of Firebreak's victories are starting to get just a bit too convenient, and this latest one might be the worst. breaking into a realm of physical impossibility that spurs Shard to finally investigate just what the hell's going on.

His investigation will put him at odds with not only Firebreak, but other villains, his own family, and eventually the city itself.

Firebreak #1 is a 28-page comic with 24 pages of story that chronicle the start of said investigation.
